Creation Process of my Sculptures
The role of architecture in my metal sculptures
Architecture plays a crucial role in the design of my metal sculptures. As a sculptor, each of my works begins with an in-depth study of the subject: in the case of living beings, I examine their dimensions, proportions, natural behaviors, and the symbolism associated with them in different cultures, also considering any legends linked to them.
I then determine the ideal dimensions, which may be those requested by the client or those I consider best suited to my vision, and I carry out the necessary calculations to ensure that the sculpture is harmonious and proportionate to reality.
For the design process, I use Draftsight, a technique I previously applied in architecture with AutoCAD. I draw every single component of the sculpture, and to ensure the proportions are correct and the aesthetics are satisfactory, I create a small model in aluminum.
Once the project is defined, I choose the appropriate materials and thicknesses, selecting stainless steel and/or corten steel to create reflective sculptures that dynamically interact with the surrounding environment, adding a new visual dimension to the landscape.
I send the drawings to a metal workshop, where the sheets are laser-cut with extreme precision. After cutting, I personally visit the workshop to perform the bending and supervise the welding, carefully assembling all the pieces until the work is completed.
My sculptures also include outdoor works, designed to blend perfectly into the natural environment, almost camouflaging themselves, just as animals or insects do in nature.
I also take great pleasure in creating custom-made sculptures, designed to meet the specific needs of each client. Each of my works is unique, as I never create multiples: every sculpture tells a one-of-a-kind and unrepeatable story.

Il ruolo dell'architettura nelle mie sculture metalliche
L'architettura gioca un ruolo cruciale nella progettazione delle mie sculture in metallo. Come artista scultore, ogni mia opera nasce da uno studio approfondito del soggetto: nel caso di esseri viventi, esamino le loro dimensioni, proporzioni, comportamenti naturali e la simbologia ad essi legata nelle diverse culture, tenendo conto anche di eventuali leggende a loro associate. In seguito, stabilisco le dimensioni ideali, che possono essere quelle richieste dal cliente o quelle che considero più adatte alla mia visione, e compio i calcoli necessari per assicurarmi che la scultura sia armonica e proporzionata alla realtà.
Per il processo di progettazione, utilizzo il programma Draftsight, una tecnica che in passato applicavo anche in architettura con AutoCAD. Disegno ogni singolo componente della scultura e, per assicurarmi che le proporzioni siano corrette e l’estetica soddisfacente, realizzo un piccolo modello in alluminio.
Una volta definito il progetto, scelgo il materiale e gli spessori adatti, selezionando acciaio inox e/o acciaio corten per creare sculture riflettenti, che interagiscono dinamicamente con l'ambiente circostante, aggiungendo una nuova dimensione visiva al paesaggio.
Invio i disegni a una carpenteria metallica, dove le lastre vengono tagliate al laser con estrema precisione. Dopo il taglio, vado personalmente in carpenteria per eseguire le piegature e supervisionare le saldature, assemblando con cura tutti i pezzi fino a completare l'opera.
Le mie sculture comprendono anche opere all'aperto, pensate per integrarsi perfettamente nell'ambiente naturale, quasi a mimetizzarsi con esso, proprio come avviene in natura con gli animali o gli insetti.
Con grande piacere, realizzo anche sculture su misura, progettate per soddisfare le specifiche esigenze di ogni cliente. Ogni mia opera è unica, poiché non creo mai multipli: ogni scultura racconta una storia irripetibile e irriproducibile.

Die Rolle der Architektur in meinen Metallskulpturen
Die Architektur spielt eine entscheidende Rolle beim Entwurf meiner Metallskulpturen. Als Bildhauerin beginnt jedes meiner Werke mit einer gründlichen Untersuchung des Themas: Im Falle von Lebewesen analysiere ich ihre Maße, Proportionen, ihr natürliches Verhalten und die Symbolik, die ihnen in verschiedenen Kulturen zugeschrieben wird. Ich berücksichtige auch Legenden, die mit ihnen verbunden sind.
Dann bestimme ich die idealen Abmessungen, entweder nach Kundenwunsch oder nach meiner eigenen künstlerischen Vision, und führe die notwendigen Berechnungen durch, um sicherzustellen, dass die Skulptur harmonisch und realitätsgetreu proportioniert ist.
Für den Designprozess verwende ich Draftsight, eine Technik, die ich zuvor in der Architektur mit AutoCAD angewendet habe. Ich zeichne jede einzelne Komponente der Skulptur und fertige ein kleines Modell aus Aluminium an, um sicherzustellen, dass die Proportionen korrekt sind und das ästhetische Ergebnis meinen Erwartungen entspricht.
Sobald das Projekt festgelegt ist, wähle ich die geeigneten Materialien und Stärken aus, wobei ich mich für Edelstahl und/oder Cortenstahl entscheide. Diese Materialien ermöglichen es mir, reflektierende Skulpturen zu schaffen, die mit ihrer Umgebung interagieren und eine neue visuelle Dimension in die Landschaft bringen.
Ich sende meine Zeichnungen an eine Metallwerkstatt, wo die Platten mit höchster Präzision per Laser geschnitten werden. Nach dem Schneiden besuche ich persönlich die Werkstatt, um die Biegungen durchzuführen und die Schweißarbeiten zu überwachen. Ich setze die Teile sorgfältig zusammen, bis das Kunstwerk vollendet ist.
Zu meinen Arbeiten gehören auch Freiluftskulpturen, die sich perfekt in die natürliche Umgebung einfügen und sich fast mit ihr verschmelzen – so wie es Tiere oder Insekten in der Natur tun.
Mit großer Freude fertige ich auch maßgeschneiderte Skulpturen, die auf die spezifischen Wünsche meiner Kunden abgestimmt sind. Jedes meiner Werke ist ein Unikat, da ich niemals Multiples erstelle: Jede Skulptur erzählt eine einzigartige, unwiederholbare Geschichte.

El papel de la arquitectura en mis esculturas de metal
La arquitectura desempeña un papel fundamental en el diseño de mis esculturas de metal. Como escultora, cada una de mis obras comienza con un estudio detallado del sujeto: en el caso de los seres vivos, analizo sus dimensiones, proporciones, comportamientos naturales y la simbología que se les atribuye en diversas culturas, considerando también las leyendas asociadas a ellos.
Después determino las dimensiones ideales, que pueden ser las solicitadas por el cliente o las que considero más adecuadas según mi visión, y realizo los cálculos necesarios para asegurarme de que la escultura sea armónica y proporcional a la realidad.
Para el proceso de diseño, utilizo Draftsight, una técnica que antes aplicaba en arquitectura con AutoCAD. Dibujo cada uno de los componentes de la escultura y, para garantizar que las proporciones sean correctas y la estética satisfactoria, creo un pequeño modelo en aluminio.
Una vez definido el proyecto, elijo los materiales y grosores adecuados, optando por acero inoxidable y/o acero corten para crear esculturas reflectantes que interactúan dinámicamente con su entorno, añadiendo una nueva dimensión visual al paisaje.
Envío los dibujos a un taller de metal, donde las láminas se cortan con láser con gran precisión. Después del corte, visito personalmente el taller para realizar los doblados y supervisar las soldaduras, ensamblando cuidadosamente todas las piezas hasta completar la obra.
Mis esculturas también incluyen obras de exterior, diseñadas para integrarse perfectamente en el entorno natural, casi mimetizándose con él, al igual que los animales o insectos en la naturaleza.
Con gran satisfacción, también realizo esculturas a medida, diseñadas para cumplir con los requisitos específicos de cada cliente. Cada una de mis obras es única, ya que nunca creo piezas en serie: cada escultura cuenta una historia irrepetible y única.
