Considerato che l'uomo sta causando danni all'ecosistema, provocando enormi conseguenze sulla biodiversità che sostiene la vita sulla terra; Chelita ha voluto rendere simbolicamente omaggio agli insetti (un'ape, un grillo, una libellula e le farfalle), così importanti per il nostro ecosistema e in particolare l'ape, trasformando fogli di alluminio e acciaio in sculture.

Ha così realizzato una metamorfosi simbolica da prodotto inerte a scultura "viva" che si muove con il vento e risplende sotto i raggi del sole, per attirare la nostra attenzione sull'importanza vitale degli esseri viventi rappresentati.

Il corpo cavo e pieno di trasparenze degli insetti di Chelita simboleggia la leggerezza e la fragilità di questi esseri che contrastano con la forza e la resistenza dell'alluminio, testimone della loro straordinaria tenacia.

Con loro, infine, Chelita vuole sottolineare il delicato momento di transizione che sta vivendo l'umanità, dalla società che ben conosciamo a una nuova era dove le macchine sono sempre più presenti nella vita quotidiana. Non è un caso, infatti, che gli ingegneri elettronici si ispirino agli insetti per costruire robot in grado di esplorare Marte e altri corpi celesti, o addirittura svolgere attività sulla terra rischiose per le persone.

METAMORPHOSIS FROM AN INERT PRODUCT INTO "LIVING" SCULPTURES

Considering that humans are causing damage to the ecosystem, causing enormous consequences on the biodiversity that supports life on earth; Chelita wanted to pay symbolic homage to insects (a bee, a cricket, a dragonfly and butterflies), so important for our ecosystem and in particular the bee, by transforming sheets of aluminum and steel into sculptures.

She has thus created a symbolic metamorphosis from an inert product to a "living" sculpture that moves with the wind and shines under the sun's rays, to draw our attention to the vital importance of the living beings represented.

The hollow and transparent body of the Chelita insects symbolizes the lightness and fragility of these beings which contrast with the strength and resistance of aluminum, testimony to their extraordinary tenacity.

Finally, with them, Chelita wants to underline the delicate moment of transition that humanity is experiencing, from the society we know well to a new era where machines are increasingly present in daily life. It is no coincidence, in fact, that electronic engineers are inspired by insects to build robots capable of exploring Mars and other celestial bodies, or even carrying out activities on earth that are risky for people.
